Presently, the college is composed of three academic units and two affiliated units. The undergraduate program is clinically oriented, to meet our society's demands for qualified veterinary clinicians who can provide professional medical services to companion animal and farm animal health. Further specific research areas, such as zoonotic studies, laboratory animal medicine and vaccine development, are also included in our professional goals.
The faculty members of our college are further grouped depending on their academic fields of specialization. This arrangement has proven to be very efficient in terms of allocating human and material resources for achieving a high standard of clinical teaching and collaborative research, in conjunction with the use of the facilities at the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital and the Animal Disease Diagnostic Center. Our programs are uniquely to keep a balance between basic sciences and clinical medicine, so that our graduates will have multi-disciplinary education in veterinary science and clinical medicine.
